The The Sex Files A Dark XXX Parodylast few days have been almost too much to bear for Star Wars fans, who lost not only their Princess, actress Carrie Fisher -- but only one day later, said goodbye to her mother, the legendary Debbie Reynolds.
In Austin and Los Angeles Wednesday night, fans gathered to honour the legacy of Fisher, after her death at 60 years old.
SEE ALSO: Carrie Fisher was a bold advocate for people with mental illnessAccording to local reports, at least 200 Austin fans (many in full costume) gathered at South Lamar's Alamo Drafthouse Theatre around 6:30 p.m. local time -- raising a light saber in Carrie Fisher's honour, creating a sea of neon colours as they stood sombrely.

In L.A., over a thousand people hit "Attending" on a Facebook event titled "Light Saber Vigil for Carrie Fisher" to be held at Disneyland's Downtown Disney District.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the event organiser, Jeff Rowan, created the tribute to Princess Leia Organa on a whim.
"Last night at about 11:00 I decided to go ahead and make an event myself and see if anything would happen," he said. "In all honesty, TheEmpire Strikes Backwas the first movie I ever went to see in the theatre and to this day Star Wars has played a huge part in my life. I hope Disney lets us in."
Looks like they did just that. And we couldn't think of a better send-off.
