It's been a tough weekend for hair.
As many of you know,Nikki Nova Archives Joe Keery got rid of his iconic luscious locks (RIP,) and now, we have the curious case of Mike Fiers' beard to discuss.
For those who missed it, the Oakland Athletics pitcher debuted an extremely unique curl of facial hair at a game in Texas on Saturday night. He appeared to be sporting a beard that resembled the letter "G" and only covered half of his face. You love/hate to see it!

As for why Fiers looked like a dude from a Guess Who card, in a clean-shaven interview, he explained to reporters that he was "Just being funny, having fun with these guys."
"It's a long season, we're in mid-September and just to give the guys a laugh, I'm kinda the guy they want to laugh at, so they dared me to do it or didn't think I'd go out and pitch with it. But I don't care," Fiers said per NBC Sports.
"We were just looking up fun things to do because I was thinking about shaving my beard and starting fresh," the player said. "But we were thinking about something funny to do and we were searching on Google for funny beards and that was one of them that came up."
So there you have it, folks. The beard was inspired by a bunch of pals doing a Google search.
