"He still thinks it's a great idea pal," he added. "Granny is ready to chuck it and him into the garage."
Stuart Sr. told local tabloid the Scottish Sun, "I genuinely thought that I would bring it home and the wife would be alright about putting it up," despite the fact that their house had faced the same bridge for more than 30 years. He also admitted that he'd consumed "a few sherbets" before bidding on the colossal print.

Stuart Sr. said that the fog was so thick last month, the family couldn't see the bridge, "so at least with that photo we would always see it."

Stuart Sr. is a train driver, and also bought a tour package for the Forth Bridge during the boozy auction -- even though he crosses it almost every day for work.
He told the Scottish Sunthat he and his wife planned on selling the print and donating the proceeds to charity. He hasn't disclosed whether he's keeping the tour package, though.
