Twitter's maximum tweet length has finally been raised to 280 characters. For some users,Watch The Heirs Online this is super exciting. For others, it's the worst thing ever to hit the Internet.
SEE ALSO: Twitter’s 280-character limit is exactly what tweets didn’t needIf you're in the latter category, you're in luck. Our friends over at Slatehave developed a new Chrome extension called "140" that will help you blissfully ignore the new Twitter for as long as you'd like.
The extension will cut every tweet on your feed down to 140 characters, and will restrict your tweets to the old limit as well. You can download it straight from the Chrome Web Store.

"The army of progress marches forever forward, burning everything good in the world and salting the earth behind it," reads the description. "But for now, use Slate's 140 to make Twitter great again."
