All this marketing buzz is of course new to Bone.
"I'm not the kind of guy that endorses products," he told Mashablein an earlier interview. "But that's so nice and welcome."
Bone has no illusions about the fleeting nature of viral crazes -- but he plans to cash out as much as possible before he fades into public memory.
“It’s gonna be back to work tomorrow night on night shift,” he told the Washington Post. “But I’ll be taking the time to hopefully tweet out to all my new followers and try to reiterate to them their voice matters.”
Update Thurs. 12:30 p.m. PST:
Ken Bone may need a better agent. Uber was apparently able to lock down his endorsement with nothing more than a measly free ride.
