Westworld's Evan Rachel Wood will be A Thought of Ecstasygetting the same pay as some of her male co-stars starting in Season 3, the actor told The Wrap Tuesday. Finally.
Wood's character Dolores is basically the face of HBO's Westworld, and thanks to the Time's Up movement, Reese Witherspoon, and HBO's newfound commitment to fixing pay disparities between men and women, Woods will now be getting the equal pay that she deserves. She told The Wrap that her new salary will match those of Anthony Hopkins (Robert Ford) and Ed Harris (The Man in Black).

"I was just told that, you know, ‘Hey you’re, you’re getting equal pay.' ... And I almost got emotional. I was like, ‘I have never been paid the same as my male counterparts … Never, never.'”
This news is a promising piece of information that hopefully points to more pay parity in the near future of the entertainment industry, something that Wood has been fighting for and is hopeful about.
“There’s a lot of politics, but there’s a lot of things that are now being talked about in a different way,” Wood said. “There is a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes. There is a lot of trying to make things equal and trying to make things fair. I don’t know, there is a lot of stuff. But this is the first time that somebody made a point of being like, ‘Hey you’re getting this. And you deserve it.’ And that was nice.”
In response to the Time's Up movement, HBO exec Casey Bloys said earlier this month that it's unacceptable for actors in similar roles to have different pay as shows enter second or third seasons.
"When you get into season two or three of a show and the show is a success, it is much harder to justify paying people wildly disparate numbers, and that's where you have to make sure that you're looking at the numbers – that they don't end up just on the path they were on from the pilot stage," she said.
It's nice to see that these promises are actually panning out.
