The Detective ArchivesHuman Rights Campaign is using President Trump's hotel in Washington, D.C., to make a serious political statement.
In a protest of recently banned words the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is no longer allowed to include in next year's budget documents, the LGBTQ advocacy group partnered with multimedia artist Robin Bell to project the words onto Trump's hotel Tuesday night.

The seven prohibited words — vulnerable, entitlement, diversity, transgender, fetus, evidence-based, and science-based — were projected on the front of the building in blue and green. The display also included a special message from the LGBTQ community at the end: "We will not be erased."

The list of banned words has been receiving its fair share of condemnation over the past week, especially from members of the science community.
In a call on Tuesday, organizations such as the National Center for Transgender Equality, the Union of Concerned Scientists, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and more made their argument against the ban, pointing out the many issues, such as inequality, being promoted through the actions.
Other organizations, like the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS,) submitted strongly worded letters to Mick Mulvaney, director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, in protest.
Bell, who's based in D.C., has used his work to take on political issues before, projecting calls to action related to the GOP tax cuts, climate issues, and the Trump administration's ties to Russia.
