If you're in a hurry to get to the main event, you'll find today's Wordlesolution down the bottom of this post, so scroll scroll scroll. If you want to ease into it to try and get there yourself first, you'll find a few clues as well as general Wordle tips, strategies, and info as you make your way down.
Created by engineer Josh Wardle as a gift for his partner and later bought by the New York Timesin a seven-figure deal, Wordlehas made five-letter words a bigger deal than four-letter ones in 2022, and inspired countless clones and variations on the basic guessing-game format. Try the diabolically hard Absurdle, the mathtastic Primel, and the map-based Worldle, the multi-game variants that add up to the 31-word Grand Slam (aka Untrigintordle) — or you might want to go deeper with Wordleclones for specific fandoms.
That depends, but we've got plenty of ideas for you to try.
No, it's not getting harder, even if there are sometimes a couple of doozies in a row like there were this past weekend. (Here's Saturday's and Sunday's answers. Ooof.) In fact, we've all been playing it on easy mode — here's how to go to Hard Mode.

It is...
FOUND.
A common word, but this is one of those especially brutal Wordles where you can get all but one letter in place early and still X out (i.e. use up all your guesses) just trying to get the last one. There are at least eight five-letter words that end in OUND — meaning you could have locked in four green squares in a super lucky first guess and stillnot managed to get a fifth.
So if you resorted to checking the Wordleclues or answer here for a little help, who could blame you? It's a cold world out there, and the English language is chaos.
Not the day you're after? Here's the solution to today's Wordle.
