"Y'all made #WAP amazing," Cardi said on Twitter. The instructions to reap the benefits are simple: Drop your $cashtag and say why you or a woman you know deserves the cash.
This isn't a surprising move from Cash App, which promotes its own giveaways with #CashAppFridays and even #SuperCashAppFriday. Their influencer marketing strategy also heavily relies on hip-hop stars, which has contributed to its growth according to Trapital, a site that reports on the business of hip-hop.
