Instagram might soon let users create Stories together.
App researcher Jane Manchun Wong has discovered that the social media platform is Delires obscenes (1998)testing a feature called Group Story. A series of screenshots of the feature show how this works: Users will be able to share content to a Group Story on Instagram, and from there you can choose to send it to your close friends or a Group.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
Interestingly, Facebook (which owns Instagram) has already tried out a similar feature in its main app, and decided to shut it down last month. Instagram, however, is more story-driven than Facebook, so Group Stories might fare better there.
As always, the fact that Instagram is testing the feature does not necessarily mean it'll activate it for everyone, but it does make it a bit more likely.
Wong discovered another new Instagram feature, currently in testing: GIF replies to Stories. Looks like Stories on Instagram are about to get quite a bit more colorful soon.
