You might've been disappointed to hear that Terry Crews would not voice the latest Overwatch character,Movies Doomfist, but Terry Crews himself wasn't.
Rumors that Crews would be the voice actor for the newest hero started swirling last year. The actor's visit to the Blizzard's offices in December only added weight to that rumor. To the disappointment of many, however, Crews's voice did not accompany the gauntlet-wielding hero when he was revealed in July. But that's ok -- he's cool with it, he revealed in an interview with PC Gamertoday.

It’s funny because when I went down to Blizzard and we were talking about possibilities I realized that I don’t wanna be the guy that hijacks a game, you know? The creators have a vision and I didn’t want to mess that up. I was not interested in trying to hijack the game, I let them know that whatever fitted in their program I would love to do. When I saw that Doomfist was created, that they’d went with another guy, the whole thing, it’s actually quite perfect, it’s absolutely amazing. I can honestly say that they made a move that’s better for the game, which is what they’re about. I know people were upset but I’m not.
If I ever do do anything with Blizzard, you watch: it’ll be perfect. With those guys, we’re all friends, we’re all good. I think there will be something coming down the line.
As much of an overall crowd-pleasure as Crews could have been, he's simply not a good fit for Doomfist. Sahr Ngaujah, the actor who was ultimately given the role, does an excellent job as Doomfist. Ngaujah is able to better focus on Doomfist as a character, rather than Crews dominating him with his own personality. According to Ngaujah, while he's of West African descent himself, he's also been studying Nigerian culture and replicates Doomfist's Nigerian accent.
Crews is still a fan of Overwatchbut, as of last year, another game has since taken spot as his and his son's favorite: PlayerUknown's Battlegrounds.
We loved Overwatch, still love it. But then we got into PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. PUBG? Holy cow, we can’t get enough. You know what? It’s a safe way to do paintball. You are literally in this world and then they start closing the battlefield around you, and people are trying to kill you -- my son and I have been having so much fun on PUBGthat right now that’s my go to game.
PUBG, as it's referred to by fans, is a battle royale-style multiplayer shooter where the last player standing wins. Since it came out on Steam Early Access, the game has remained as one of the most-watched games on Twitch, regularly hanging out in the top five.
Now all we need is for Crews to start a Twitch channel so we can watch him play. But maybe Snoop Dogg would be a better option, considering Crews thinks he's the best gamer between himself, Snoop, and Jamie Foxx.
